Swimmer Of The Month – September 2017
Connor Thorpe – Swimmer Of The Month for September 2017
Connor Thorpe – A Squad
Connor wrote a poem for us all to enjoy! Every first letter makes up the word “Swimming”.
Swimming all the time is what I do
With my friends on a Sunday too
In the pool every day
Might do some races today
Maybe we will do dives and turns
I love it though cos it’s what I live to learn
Never a dull moment because there’s medals to be won
Going to go now more swimming to be done
Statement from John Casey (A Squad Coach):
Connor has been progressing really well with his swimming. He has been in A Squad for less than a year and last year qualified for 2 races at East Midland Regional Championships getting in the final for 50m freestyle.
Connor has had a fantastic start to this swim season. At the recent Matlock Open Meet in September he swam 5 races getting 5 Pb’s, 5 1st places and an incredible 4 Regional qualifying times (at time of writing this he now has 8 qualifying times this year!). Massive well done Connor!!!
