Kingston-Upon-Hull – ESC Highlights

Eckington Swimming Club recently attended the Kingston-Upon-Hull Swimming Club’s (KUHSC) End of Season Short Course Open Meet – which took place over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd July 2016.

PB rates were as expected for this meet, which was 51%. Medals were awarded 1-6 place 9r old and 10-11 year olds. Medals were also awarded for 1-3 place for 12-13, 14-15 and 16 year and above.

Every year Eckington Swimming Club looks forward to attending the KUHSC Open Meet – not just because our swimmers can enjoy competing in an end-of-season licensed event, but because our swimmers, parents and carers looks forward to the other aspect of Eckington Swimming Club life. The main focus at the KUHSC Open Meet is on the social side: a good opportunity for swimmers and parents to socialise away from pool.

A big thank you to Mrs Thorpe and Mrs Naylor for organising the bowling and meal – you have now been elected the new social secretaries!

The highest score at bowling went to Ryan Pickard with 133 (closely followed by experienced veterans John Casey 130 and Pete Hardy 125 – scores not ages!!)
